Cindera ("we", "our", "us") operates the Cindera mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), date of birth, and gender.
• Appearance details: skin tone, hair color, hair features, and eye color — provided voluntarily to personalize styling recommendations.
• Style preferences: fit preference, brand affinity, dealbreakers, and occasion settings.
• Photos: images of clothing items you upload to build your digital wardrobe.
• Location data: approximate location used solely to provide weather-based outfit recommendations. We do not store precise location history.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Categorize and store your clothing items.
• Generate personalized outfit recommendations using AI.
• Provide weather-appropriate styling suggestions.
• Send transactional emails (e.g., password resets).

4. AI Processing

We use Google's Gemini AI to analyze clothing photos and generate outfit recommendations. When you upload a photo or request outfit suggestions, relevant data (images, clothing descriptions, and your style preferences) is sent to Google's API for processing. Google's API usage is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on our servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Photos are stored securely and are only accessible to you. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Google Gemini API: for AI-powered clothing analysis and outfit generation.
• OpenWeatherMap: your approximate location is used to fetch weather data for outfit recommendations.
• Resend: your email address is used to deliver transactional emails.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: export all your data from the app's Settings screen.
• Delete your account: permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings, or visit our account deletion page.
• Update your information: modify your profile and preferences at any time within the app.

8. Age Requirements

Cindera is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 16, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The Cindera mobile app does not use cookies or third-party tracking. We do not serve advertisements.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
